Belvedere Heights is a 101 Bed Long Term Care Facility located on Belvedere Avenue overlooking beautiful Georgian Bay in the Town of Parry Sound. The Home is operated and maintained by a Board of Management for the District of Parry Sound West in co-operation with the Province of Ontario Ministry of Health. It is the aim of all staff to support everyone in an atmosphere of harmony, family life and friendship. Belvedere Heights provides varying levels of assistance with the activities of daily living for the seniors who reside here including an area, that provides a secure environment for the cognitively impaired elderly. Two Short Stay beds are available for booking by the community to meet short-term care needs of seniors or their caregivers. Belvedere Heights provides basic, semi-private and private accommodation. We are members of the Ontario Association of Non Profit Homes and Services for Seniors. Belvedere Heights also administers Community Support Services which is a non-profit organization made up of volunteer supported programs provided by the Ministry of Health consisting of wide range of services.

Belvedere Heights, a District Home for the Aged representing the incorporated and unincorporated municipalities of West Parry Sound, is committed to serving seniors through sound and innovative design and delivery of quality programs, services and accommodations. Belvedere believes that Residents/clients must have choices in order to enjoy a quality, independent lifestyle, as aging is not an illness. Belvedere and its staff are also committed to the development of a continuum of support services as one total system, which is need related not age related.

Belvedere Heights believes that services must be designed from our client's perspective, be easily accessible, promote wellness, and support the clients' right to participate in and receive courteous, quality services in an environment of self determination with a sense of security and fulfillment. Services must be flexible and provided by appropriately trained multi-disciplinary teams in order to meet the holistic needs of our clients. "Quality of Life" shall be the motivating force for all staff.
